Al Maqta
Just off the island, Al Maqta, sometimes known as ‘between the bridges’ (which are Al Maqta bridge and Mussafah bridge), is squeezed in between several areas and may seem to lack identity at first, but there is plenty on offer here, with several options for the sporty types as well as schools, a park and a couple of hidden gems for those that like culture (Al Maqtaa Fort) and good food (Fairmont Bab Al Bahr).
